Hi Louise,
Just wanted to let you know I have some success with Cougie this-morning- he was ok with me approaching him with lead in full view , put it on, walked with me and was very co-operative while I did his feet (not always the case) then we did some circling- he was ok- able to get him to keep to the walk and disengage.still only in one direction.
He did a big lick and chew and a huge sigh....I was so pleased as after yesterday I was worried I had made a big mistake trying to be a horse person!!

Stormy was also good- did the circling/disengaging(he is anticipating  disengaging in the same spot each time , so I varied the number of circles and places he stopped in which seemed to keep him involved.
He also yielded easily around to the side from the knot in his head stall(forgot the name of this one.)

I am feeling so much more positive and confident today so will focus on this more this week.

THANK-YOU!!

see you on Tuesday,
Kate

Hi Louise

Great lesson today Thanks.  I had one of my all time best play sessions with Elmo after you left today. He went back into the  paddock with the  other horses  ears forward  and  I felt great.  We will see what tomorrow brings.

Thanks for caring
Love Alison
